Google Keyword Tool

Google keyword tool is a very interesting tool and versatile tool. It is used for so many things online. It can also be used to get ideas for blog posts.

Here is how to do it.

1. Select a keyword related to your niche
2. Go to Google keyword tool
3. Add the words ,how, where ,when ,why and other question  words to the keyword and search in the keyword tool

E.g. If your keyword is dog, when you search for “how dog” in the keyword tool, all questions asked by people that has the words “how “and “dog” will be displayed .

Pick or copy down these questions. It will contain long tail keywords and questions that you will be answering as posts on your blog. These are question people are looking for in your niche your posts will be providing the answers.

Mind maps

This is a versatile tool you can use to produce your thoughts on paper. It usually starts with a single big idea, topic or theme and branches to form other ideas or themes.

Mind maps are used for planning and developing blog post content by helping you think out different areas, topics, questions, ideas around the topic or whatever you are writing about.

   Polls

This tool is used for asking questions and finding out information from respondents. The question asked usually contains answers in the form of multi choice option. It usually does not require you typing any answer but only requires selected an answer from a set of answers.

Surveys

Surveys are similar to polls because it usually consists of question too but it is different because detailed answers are most times required.   Answers to questions maybe given by writing or typing out answers.

Having a survey on your blog or using a third party website can help your find out exactly what your readers would love to learn or know.

Search engines

The search engines are another tool that can help you find blog post ideas for your blog. Typing keywords into a search engine can bring up all sorts of posts around what other bloggers have written about. You can make an improved post from what has been written already. You can write about topics not yet written about or argue with popular ideas in your niche.

Google trends is a website that reveals popular or trending topics at a particular time. Visiting this website can reveal a trend or keyword related to the theme or topic of your blog. This can give you an idea for a blog post.

You can also get trends from other search engines and website. Twitter has trending topics too. All this places can give you ideas to make blog post.

Yahoo answers

Blog posts content usually has the goal of educating people or helping people solve a problem or need. It usually helps people answer pressing, difficult questions and find pleasure.

Now, no matter what your blog is about, answering questions in your niches asked by people is a great way to create value in that niche.

So where can you get questions asked by real people related to your niche?

One of those places you can find questions asked by real people online is Yahoo answers. On www.answers.yahoo.com all kinds of questions about every topic imaginable is asked.

So head to this site and search for keywords related to your niche and answer these questions on your blog.

Forums

Another place people talk and ask questions freely are forums. There are so many forums about any topic imaginable on the internet. There is a forum about topics you blog about. You can search for these forums and manually search in these forums for questions you can answer. Or you can use www.BoardTracker.com a search engine for forums to automatically do the search. This website tracks and displays search results containing the keyword being searched for. So head to the website, type in keywords related to your niche and find questions and discussions relevant to your niche.

You can also find individual forums by using search engines
